The perfect pussy-bow blouse

Blouse - secondhand, trousers - Vivien Of Holloway, shoes - Wittner

I scored this amazing blouse earlier this week at my local op shop and I'm so stoked. I desperately need more tops in my wardrobe since I now have to wear jeans for work, so when I came across this pretty thing on the rack for $3 I didn't even try it on. Luckily it fits perfectly, and despite being (I think) from the 1970's/80's, it has a perfect 40's look that is exactly what I'm after for Autumn.

  2. 1) This is a terrific find, and the cream color is really pretty against your coloring, not to mention the awesome shoulders.
    2) I had no idea "pussy-bow" was an actual term, and I find it super funny.
    You look great!

    1. Aw, thanks Whitney :)
Haha, I always thought it was a bit funny too, apparently they are named so because people used to tie bows around their cats necks and this style reflected that. So it's kind of funny/adorable ^_^

  4. Nice find, Taygan! I am such a sucker for a good white blouse. Also, I love those trousers. I have attempted swing trousers many times, but alas, I am just too darn short to pull them off I think. Congrats on the new job!

    1. Thanks! Me too, however I don't own nearly as many as I like due to my extreme fussiness. Maybe you just haven't found the right style? Or need to have the taken up? I actually find they make me seem taller due to the length and how high-waisted they are. Thank you, I'm really enjoying it :)

    1. Thank you, and welcome!
Classy-easy vintage is my favourite kind of vintage, though sometimes it really seems quite difficult to pull together.

One of those I could wear everyday , even though I'm not a huge fan of trousers...

    1. Thank you very much :)
I'm very very fussy about what kinds of trousers or jeans I wear, but these are just so perfectly 1940's that I can't resist them!

  7. That is such a beautiful blouse! I have so many 70's does 40's blouses in my closet, haha. They are so much easier to find! This is the perfect shade of cream though and will be so versatile.

    1. They truly are, though a tad itchy. I'd love some in other colours/fabrics though.
